Annie, I'm fortunate. Our son and I are covered under my husband. With the job I have, I don't get health coverage - but again, I'm lucky I don't need it.
Please, don't get me wrong, and make me out to be some cold-hearted person with no concern for the un- or under-insured. I do care. I just want to see reform done by the people, not by the ... government. I am against Americans being forced to pay for illegal immigrants' care, and am not particularly attune to "distribution of wealth." I oppose big government and governmental intrusion in our lives most of all - and this administration is positively elephantine in their desire for growth.
I feel that, if this administration would just shift its focus onto job creation - asserting their energies there - the economy would start the recovery, making health care reform make more economic sense. Right now, it's just being rushed too quickly, and rather deviously at that, and will cripple more people economically than help.

I disagree with my friend Annette in almost every particular, but we don't go spitting on each other or tossing racial epithets. That's Democracy in a Republic.
